What are Alternative Investments?
Alternative investments are generally defined as those investments that differ from the traditional equity and fixed income investments, including all forms of hedge funds, funds of funds, private equity funds, structured products, venture capital, real estate investments as well as others.
Mission of the Alternative Investments Club
The mission of the Alternative Investments Club is to provide a forum for the discussion of Alternative Investments and to further the knowledge and networks of the Club’s members.
Objectives of the Alternative Investments Club
- Provide a focused forum to discuss and analyze a specific sub-set of the general finance universe
- Allow members to brand themselves in the Alternative Investments space
- Keep members current and updated on the latest industry news and events
- Facilitate attracting related industry speakers
- Hold events and seminars
- Allow focused networking sessions/events for the Club's members
Membership
Membership is open to Cornell MBA, EMBA and AMBA current students and Johnson School alumni (both undergraduate and graduate). Interested members should complete and return the attached application form. There are no membership fees or dues.
